Hi, Im Kate,
Neuro-Somatic Educator, Somatic Practitioner, and Author of Rest & Rise.
I help overwhelmed, exhausted women reset their nervous system using neuroscience and body-based tools—so they can step out of survival mode and build a life they actually love living.
The Why Behind What I Do
This work wasn't born in a vacuum—it was forged through lived experience.
Despite decades of professional success as an educator and business owner, I reached a point in my own life where a storm of physical illness and environmental stress completely overloaded my system. Like so many high-achieving women, I tried to "white-knuckle" my way through it until my body simply stepped in and demanded I stop.
As I took a step back to restore my health, I began speaking openly with other women. I realised just how many of us were secretly operating in this quiet state of high-functioning depletion. But as an educator, simply "recovering" wasn't enough for me—I needed to understand the deep physiological mechanics of how I got there, and how to reliably rebuild.
That search for answers led me from holistic wellbeing and somatic practices into formal postgraduate studies in health, and later, neuroscience. I needed to understand the intricate dialogue between the mind and body, and the vital role the nervous system plays in our sense of safety, vitality, and authenticity.
The Elemental Method is the synthesis of that journey: a structured, 4-phase framework designed so no woman has to figure it out alone.
How I Support Women Today
Moving Beyond "High Vibes" and Performative Wellness
For most of our lives, women are handed an unwritten script: deliver in your career, care for everyone else, and "just get on with things." We learn to override our own fatigue, assuming that putting ourselves last is simply the cost of a life lived.
Eventually, the body demands a reckoning. Whether it arrives as a quiet inner realisation or is forced by a major life shift—a health crisis, grief, a relationship breakdown, or a career pivot—the result is the same: the old way of operating stops working.
What I find most profound in my work is how many brilliant, creative women reach this crossroads with no idea what they actually need, want, or value.
When your body reaches this point, surface-level "high vibes" and generic self-care checklists completely fail. You cannot mindset your way out of a physical system that is overloaded and screaming for safety.
This is where my work begins. By combining applied neuroscience, health physiology, somatic practices, and holistic coaching, we stop asking you to "white-knuckle" your way through life. We regulate your physical stress response first—giving you the safety and clarity you need to reconnect with your authentic needs and build a path forward on your own terms.
A Grounded, Forward-Focused Approach
True transformation doesn't come from pushing through burnout or getting stuck analysing the past. It happens when you meet your physiology where it is right now.
My role as an educator is simple: we honour where your nervous system is today, give your body the physical reset it is asking for, and then build the clarity and capacity you need to move your life forward with confidence.
The Credentials Behind the Framework
I bring an educator’s heart and a deep grounding in health science to the world of somatic regulation and women's well-being. My practice is built on four core pillars:
30+ Years in Professional Education: Decades of educational mastery across educational, school, and community settings, ensuring complex knowledge is translated into clear, structured, and learnable tools you can use for life.
Postgraduate Neuroscience: Specialised training through a Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience, focusing on anxiety, ageing, neuro-plasticity, and behaviour change.
Applied Health Sciences: Training in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and women’s health.
Somatic Practices: Practical expertise in breath-work, somatic movement, meditation, and mindful awareness—giving you evidence-informed, body-based tools to safely reset your nervous system in real-time.
Holistic Wellbeing Coaching: Certified training in client-centred coaching, lifestyle design, and sustainable behaviour change—ensuring insights are translated into practical daily habits, values-aligned boundaries, and long-term vitality.
What I Believe
II believe women are powerful when they feel supported, resourced, and grounded.
I believe change doesn’t need to be dramatic to be meaningful; it just needs to be intentional.
I believe rest is a biological necessity, not a reward.
I believe clarity comes when we stop overriding our own cues.
I believe the body tells the truth long before the mind catches up.
And I believe every woman deserves a life that truly feels like her own.
Beyond the Science
When I’m not working with clients in my Coffs Harbour office or online with women globally, you’ll usually find me by the ocean or exploring the forests of the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales.
I am a mum of two young men and someone who deeply loves traveling, reading, and music—anything that brings perspective, creativity, and human connection to everyday life. My home, garden, and animals keep me steady and grounded—and that same calm, structured, and warm presence shapes everything I do in my practice.
